海外青年協力隊員(理科教育)として、マラウイ湖のほとりにある学校で活動中 30代後半から協力隊を目指して応募しました 1年を経た今、一人の教員隊員として異国の地で子供の教育に携われる喜びを感じています

The punishment  ~赴任後8カ月~

The punishment is very common means of maintaining displine in schools in Malawi.
I use punishment as a means of decreasing the probability of an undesired behaviour happening again.

I am not used to this culture.
Punishment is meaningless in Japan.The punishment has an immediate effect on students.

 

If I scold the students in Japan,they would understand why they are like this.But the students don't understand.I give the punishment all the time.
Unless I do, the students think I don't do that.They make more noise.That is very problem.

Maybe they are testing your patience how far.
They are schared male teachers
I change the approach
